“Final preparations are well underway here at The Falmouth as we proudly host the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival as a main stage venue within our hotel grounds,” says Ricky Horan, General Manager. “This is one of our highlight events of the year, expected to draw thousands to our lawns, terrace, and bars. Alongside a wonderful line-up of live sea shanty performances, we’re offering guests the chance to enjoy a premium festival experience – whether it’s indulging in a Cornish crab and prawn platter with a glass of Moët & Chandon in our newly renovated Castle View restaurant (advance booking only), or soaking up the atmosphere at our outdoor Terrace Bar, complete with delicious food and drinks for those wanting to be in the heart of the action.”
Preparing for Falmouth’s Sea Shanty Festival 2025
The countdown is on as we ready ourselves to host an open-air main stage for the Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival 2025 from 13th to 15th June. With a stellar lineup, seaview dining, and a lively outdoor atmosphere, it’s set to be a weekend of music, maritime spirit, and Cornish hospitality at its finest.
As the sea breeze begins to hum with the promise of summer, excitement is building here at The Falmouth as we prepare to serve as an open-air main stage for one of Cornwall’s most beloved events: the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival 2025, taking place from 13th–15th June.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of Castle Beach and the glittering expanse of Falmouth Bay, our hotel grounds will transform into a vibrant celebration of maritime heritage, live music, and coastal hospitality. With thousands of visitors expected to descend on our lawn, terrace, and hotel for the weekend, it’s no surprise that this is one of the most anticipated events in our annual calendar.
Whether you’re toe-tapping on the terrace or singing along with your favourite crew, there’s something magical about hearing traditional sea shanties roll in with the tide. We’re thrilled to welcome a fantastic roster of performers over the weekend, with music spanning from lunchtime into the night.
From rousing harmonies to swashbuckling performances, the festival is a true showcase of tradition and talent—and with our sweeping sea views, plentiful outdoor space, and signature Cornish welcome, we couldn’t be more delighted to be at the heart of it all.
