Pumpkin Patches in Cornwall

As part of their Halloween half term activities, Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm sees the return of their annual haunted tractor rides. Hop on board for a lift to the pumpkin patch, where you can pick your own from 19th-31st October. The Rattler Bar will also be open for family pumpkin carving sessions.

The fields of Trevaskis Farm are dotted with pops of tangerine and ochre as the Cornish-grown pumpkins are finally ready to harvest. Prices range from £1.50 to £3.50 – meaning you can hand select the perfect candidate for your Halloween display. When you’re done in the fields, be sure to head indoors to the farm restaurant, for the most incredible, homemade cake selection.

One of the lesser known pumpkin patches in Cornwall, Cedar Croft Nurseries are best known for their Christmas trees – but the Bodmin-based nursery also grows pumpkins. This year, their pumpkin picking slots are open from 19th-31st October. Kill two birds with one stone and reserve yourself one of their festive fir or spruce trees for the holidays.

It’s pumpkins galore down at Splattenridden in Hayle. Bring the whole family along for a wholesome day out at the farm, where the pumpkin patch will be open from 9:30am on 12-13th, 19th-20th, and 26th-31st October.

Select from a field of orange treasures, get your photos taken in the autumnal themed ‘face-in-hole’ board, and grab a coffee and a sweet snack from the crepe box. Dogs on leads are welcome to join in the fun too, meaning no pumpkin-envy from your pooches.

For something less low-key and more venturesome, take the little ones to Camel Creek Family Adventure Park to enjoy the annual Pumpkin Fest. Hosted on 19th-20th, 23rd, and 26th-31st October, there are plenty of opportunities in the lead up to Halloween to get involved.

Alongside plenty of autumnal themed fun and a free pumpkin for every child, the park will be full of haunted attractions, family-friendly frights and spookiness around every corner. For your littlest pumpkins, Camel Creek has tailored the event to include a special Toddler Takeover on 24th-25th October, with entertainment suited for the younger children.

If you’re looking for pumpkin patches in Cornwall to take the kids this year, be sure to check out the annual autumn pumpkin picking event at Lobb’s Farm Shop. Taking place from 26th-31st October, tickets include a tractor ride from the farm shop down to the fields, a choice of hundreds of pumpkins homegrown in Cornwall, opportunities to greet the farm’s ewes and lambs, and a hay bale photo booth to get a family snap. Tickets cost £10 per child which includes free entry for the accompanying adult.

Strap on your wellies and prepare for a family day out at The Cornish Maize Maze and Fun Farm in Saltash. Navigate your way through the spooky maze with a child-friendly Halloween quiz, take your pick of the crop at the pumpkin patch, and say hello to the farm animals. The pumpkin picking and Halloween maze is open on 12th-13th, 19th-20th, and 26th-31st October from 10:30am until 5pm.

One of the prettiest pumpkin patches in Cornwall, head to the hamlet of St Endellion on the north coast for a wholesome autumn afternoon.
